Mad Mutt® Pet Collars:

Mad Mutt® collars come in two finishes, leather or polypropylene coated nylon webbing (poly).
Leather collars are made from 'A' grade leathers and are hand painted using non toxic permanent leather dyes.

Poly collars are soft on your pets coat, extremely strong, odour free, waterproof and do not sweat. While the poly collars are optimized for uv protection, long term exposure to direct sunlight will eventually fade any bright colour.

The artwork on the painted poly collars is a non toxic polyurethane puff paint, and will enjoy a long life under normal domestic conditions. All rivets, buckles and attachments used in Mad Mutt® collars are nickel plated.

  
Please note:

Mad Mutt® products are not machined. They are individually made by hand, and therefore will vary slightly in  artwork and colouring. Dye on raw leather can vary in subtle shades depending on the texture of the hide. Due to different computer system and display settings, items shown and colours are indicative and should be used as a guide only.

                       
Helpful Hints:

For leather products, the occasional lick of clear shoe polish or dubbin is very beneficial.
This will seal the leather, help to protect your artwork, and prolong the life of the collar.

Needless to say, water and leather do not mix well, so if your dog likes the occasional swim, change your leather collar for appropriate swim wear. Our webbing range of collars with plastic attachments are ideal beachwear.
Always rinse poly collars with fresh water after swimming in the ocean, to help minimise rusting of the attachments.

ALWAYS remove your Mad Mutt® leather collar prior to applying any liquid flea treatments to your pets neck area.
The acetone in flea treatments will irreparably damage the leather dyes and artwork.
